Product Guide: PowerClean® DualBrush

Bissell PowerClean DualBrush

Built for busy homes where everyday messes appear quickly and time is limited, the PowerClean® DualBrush is a high-performance cordless stick vacuum designed to tackle everything from stray pet hair to large debris in a single pass. As part of the BISSELL PowerClean stick vacuum range, it combines powerful suction with updated technology to deliver a faster, more complete clean across floors, carpets and above-floor surfaces.

At the heart of the PowerClean® DualBrush is DualBrush Technology, where two brush rolls work together to capture big messes, fine dust and everything in between. Supported by AutoAdapt™ Technology with up to 75% more suction power (vs Eco mode), HEPA sealed filtration and up to 100 minutes runtime (with two batteries, while using the hand vacuum in Eco Mode), it’s engineered to deliver premium performance and visible results throughout the home.

BISSELL understands that modern households want cleaning tools that are both powerful and practical. So, in this guide, we’ll show how the PowerClean® DualBrush works, how to use it and why its dual-brush system is designed to deliver a more thorough clean across your entire home.

Key Features of the PowerClean® DualBrush

The PowerClean® DualBrush is designed around a simple idea: two brushes clean better than one. DualBrush Technology combines a larger standard brush roll that agitates and lifts debris with a smaller soft brush roll that conforms to surfaces and captures finer dust and hair. Working together, they deliver a more complete clean, helping you capture everything from large debris to stubborn pet fur in a single pass.

Power is delivered by a 280W motor supported by AutoAdapt™ Technology, which intelligently adjusts suction based on the level of dirt detected. This helps maximise battery efficiency while still providing the extra boost needed for heavier messes, delivering up to 75% more suction power than Eco Mode.

For homes with pets, FurFinder™ Headlights illuminate hidden hair, dander and debris so messes become easier to see and remove. When combined with the included FurFinder™ Upholstery Tool, pet hair can be effectively lifted from furniture, stairs and other soft surfaces around the home.

To support healthier indoor environments and help homes win the fight against indoor allergens, the PowerClean® DualBrush features HEPA-sealed filtration that traps and locks 99.97% of dust and dander allergens (tested per ASTM F1977 on particles 0.3 microns). This helps keep fine particles contained inside the vacuum rather than released back into the air during cleaning.

Convenience is also built into the design. The vacuum can stand upright on its own for easy pauses between cleaning tasks, while integrated and included tools allow you to quickly switch between floor cleaning and above-floor tasks.

How to Use the PowerClean® DualBrush Step-by-Step

Step 1: Assemble the Vacuum

Before first use, assemble the vacuum and install the wall mount. Secure the wall mount plate to the wall using the three screws provided, making sure the charging cable can reach a nearby power outlet. Slide the wall mount onto the plate until it clicks into place and install the charger to the side of the mount.

Attach the extension wand to the motorised floor head until it clicks into place, then connect the wand to the hand vacuum. Install the included tools onto the wall mount so they are easily accessible during cleaning.

Step 2: Charge the Battery

Before use, make sure the vacuum is fully charged. You can charge the battery in several ways:

Charging with the Wall Mount

Place the vacuum on the wall mount while powered off. The machine will begin charging automatically and the battery indicator lights will illuminate.

Charging the Battery Directly

Remove the battery by pressing the release buttons and pulling it upward from the vacuum. Plug the charger into a wall outlet and connect it to the battery.

Using the Dual Charger

Insert one or two batteries into the dual charger and plug it into a power outlet. Batteries take up to three hours to fully charge.

Step 3: Power On & Select Cleaning Mode

Press the power button to turn the vacuum on. The machine will start in AutoAdapt™ Mode, which automatically adjusts suction power based on the level of debris detected.

Three suction modes are available:

  • Eco Mode – for light messes on carpets and area rugs while preserving battery life

  • Medium Power – for everyday debris requiring stronger suction

  • Turbo Mode – for heavier messes that require maximum suction power

Suction power can also be adjusted manually using the mode button, depending on your cleaning needs.

Step 4: Start Cleaning

When you’re ready to use the machine, begin cleaning using steady forward and backward strokes. As more debris gets removed, AutoAdapt™ Technology will automatically increase suction power to ensure messes are effectively captured. The FurFinder™ Headlights illuminate dust, pet hair and debris along the floor, making hidden messes easier to see and remove.

Step 5: Clean Above the Floor

The PowerClean® DualBrush can easily be converted into a hand vacuum for above-floor cleaning.

Press the release button to remove the extension wand and attach your desired tool. The hand vacuum includes a built-in crevice tool for tight spaces and edges. Use the included accessories to clean upholstery and furniture, carpeted stairs, car interiors and hard-to-reach corners and crevices.

For delicate fabrics, use Eco Mode and avoid vacuuming hard surfaces directly with upholstery tools.

The PowerClean® DualBrush is Perfect for…

The PowerClean® DualBrush is ideal for busy households that need fast, reliable cleaning across multiple surfaces. Its powerful suction, AutoAdapt™ system and DualBrush Technology make it well-suited to everyday messes found in kitchens, living spaces and entryways.

For homes with pets, the combination of DualBrush Technology, FurFinder™ Headlights and the FurFinder™ Upholstery Tool helps lift fur from floors, rugs and furniture with confidence, helping you have a clean home and pets at the same time

Maintenance & Care

Routine maintenance helps keep the PowerClean® DualBrush performing at its best. Regularly emptying the dirt tank, cleaning the filters and checking the brush rolls will maintain strong suction and efficient cleaning performance.

Emptying the Dirt Tank

Empty the dirt tank after each cleaning session or whenever it becomes full.

Press the dirt tank release button and pull the tank outward to remove it from the vacuum. Remove the separator from the tank and tap it over a waste bin to remove debris and empty the remaining contents into the bin. Finally, reinstall the separator and slide the dirt tank back into the vacuum until it clicks securely into place.

Cleaning and Replacing the Filters

Pre-Motor Filter

Remove the dirt tank, then pull the pre-motor filter downward to release it from the vacuum. Separate the foam filter from the filter basket and rinse it under warm water. Then, allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling, as a damp filter can affect suction performance. Once dry, reinstall the foam filter into the basket and slide the filter assembly back into the vacuum.

Post-Motor Filter

The post-motor filter is located above the pre-motor filter basket inside the hand vacuum.

Remove the pre-motor filter first, then rotate the post-motor filter to unlock it. Wipe it with a dry cloth to remove debris before reinstalling. For the best performance, the post-motor filter should be replaced approximately every three months, depending on usage.

Maintaining the Brush Rolls

Regular brush-roll maintenance helps prevent debris buildup and ensures optimal cleaning performance.

Remove the motorised foot from the extension wand and press the brush roll release button. Remove the smaller soft brush roll first, followed by the larger standard brush roll and clear away any hair or debris. Wipe the brush rolls and chamber with a dry cloth. Reinstall the standard brush roll first, followed by the soft brush roll, ensuring the flat end caps face outward. Then, lower the brush roll latch until it clicks into place to secure both brush rolls.

Cleaning the FurFinder™ Upholstery Tool

Press the brush roll release button on the tool to remove the brush roll. Wipe the brush roll and chamber with a dry cloth to remove hair and debris and then reinstall the brush roll into the tool until it clicks into place.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes DualBrush Technology different?

DualBrush Technology uses two brush rolls that work together to capture both large debris and fine dust in a single pass, helping deliver a more complete clean.

What does AutoAdapt™ Technology do exactly?

AutoAdapt™ Technology detects debris levels and increases suction power when needed, delivering up to 75% more suction than in Eco Mode. This means you don’t have to constantly switch modes as you move through different areas.

How long does the battery last?

With two batteries, the PowerClean® DualBrush can deliver up to 100 minutes of runtime* when used in Eco Mode as a hand vacuum. It’s plenty of time to get through most whole-home cleans without interruption. *Runtime may vary depending on mode and usage.

Is it suitable for homes with pets?

Absolutely. FurFinder™ Headlights help reveal hidden pet hair while the FurFinder™ Upholstery Tool helps remove fur from furniture, stairs and other soft surfaces. It’s designed to make living with pets a whole lot easier when it comes to cleaning.

Does it help capture irritants?

Yes. The HEPA sealed filtration system traps and locks 99.97% of dust and dander allergens (tested per ASTM F1977 on particles 0.3 microns). That means cleaner air as well as cleaner floors, which is always a win.
