No. The included wall mount is optional. You can still recharge the battery on its own either outside the vacuum or while it is installed.
The 25.2V lithium-ion battery for the PowerClean stick vacuums will take up to 3 hours to recharge from flat and will stop charging once full. If you have only used some of the charge, the battery will top itself up when next on the charger and stop charging once full. The time this takes will vary depending on how much charge has been used.
