Sustainability: Environmental Impact
Sustainability: Environmental Impact
We are reducing our environmental impact with innovative solutions. For example, BISSELL aims to optimize sustainable packaging throughout our supply chain. Currently, we maintain a minimum of 50% recycled content in our product cartons and we are evaluating and implementing additional recycled content in our plastics packaging as well. BISSELL also has internal policies and goals around sustainability, such as being compliant with all applicable global standards and continuing to eliminate substances/materials of high concern from our supply chain.
Our Packaging Commitment
At BISSELL Australia, we're committed to reducing the environmental impact of our packaging. As a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), we work towards sustainable packaging practices across our product range, from design and procurement through to disposal labelling and waste reduction.
In our 2026 APCO Annual Report, BISSELL Australia achieved a performance level of "Leading" for the January to December 2025 reporting period. This reflects our ongoing commitment to using recycled content in our packaging, designing for recoverability, and ensuring 100% of our packaging includes on-pack disposal labelling so you can recycle with confidence.
We're proud of the progress we've made and are continuing to work towards more sustainable packaging across every product we sell in Australia.

Serviceability
Before you consider replacing your machine, check our Support section for troubleshooting articles and videos — they resolve most common issues quickly. If your problem isn't solved there, we'll help you find the best repair option for your machine, so you can get it back up and running rather than starting from scratch.
End-of-Life Recycling
We're committed to giving our products a proper, responsible farewell once they've reached the end of their working life.
To reduce landfill waste, we offer an end-of-life recycling service for BISSELL machines:
- Box up your product.
- Clearly mark the box "PRODUCT DISPOSAL."
- Ship it to: BISSELL Australia
789 Springvale Road
Mulgrave, VIC 3170
Once it arrives, our trained professionals will assess the unit, salvage any parts that can be reused in other products, and responsibly recycle the rest.
BISSELL formula bottles and caps carry universal recycling symbols, so you can recycle these plastics through your local recycling program.
Find a local recycling center that takes vacuums on sites like https://recyclingnearyou.com.au/. Outside Australia? Please check with your local recycling centre for guidance on disposing of your machine.
