How to Use the SpinWave Cordless Step-by-Step
Step 1: Charging the Battery
Before charging, ensure the unit is switched off and the battery indicator lights are not illuminated. Insert the charging adapter into the charging port on the back right side of the unit, then plug it into a suitable wall outlet. The indicator lights will illuminate while charging.
For maximum runtime, charge the SpinWave Cordless for 4 hours before first use.
Step 2: Attaching Mop Pads
Your SpinWave Cordless includes Soft Touch Pads for everyday cleaning and Scrubby Pads for tougher messes.
Option 1: Manual Attachment
Carefully lay the machine on its side or back. Fold the mop pad in half with the cloth side facing inward, then align the small dot in the centre of the pad with the middle screw on the foot. Line up the pad edge with the inner ring and press firmly onto the hook-and-loop material.
Option 2: Tray Attachment
Place clean mop pads upside down in the storage tray with the centre dots facing up. Hover the unit directly over the pads, align centrally, then lower the unit onto the pads to attach them evenly.
Step 3: Filling the Clean Water Tank
Lift the clean water tank straight up from the front of the machine and unscrew the cap.
For small areas, fill with warm tap water (maximum 60°C) to the first water line, then add BISSELL SpinWave Cordless formula to the first formula line. For large areas, fill to the second water line and add formula to the corresponding formula line.
Do not use boiling water or heat the tank in the microwave. Screw the cap back on securely and slide the tank back into place until it clicks.
Step 4: Cleaning Sealed Hard Floors
Once fully charged, press the ON/OFF button– the LED lights will illuminate. Recline the handle to activate the rotating mop pads.
Press the spray button to dispense solution onto the floor. You’ll hear a soft buzzing sound each time the solution is released. For stubborn messes, spray directly onto the area and slowly move the mop back and forth, allowing the spinning pads to gently scrub and lift dirt.
When finished, press the OFF button before standing the unit upright to stop the pads from spinning.

Cleaning the Mop Pads
After use, remove mop pads by pulling them off the hook-and-loop material on the bottom of the machine. Machine wash separately in warm water using liquid detergent only. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron or dry clean.
Storing Your SpinWave Cordless
Store the unit upright in its storage tray in a dry, protected area. Always store with dry mop pads attached – wet pads may damage delicate floors. Do not store where freezing temperatures may occur.
Empty any remaining solution from the clean water tank before storage.
Battery Disposal
This product contains lithium-ion rechargeable batteries that must be removed and disposed of according to local regulations. Disconnecting the battery will destroy the appliance and invalidate the warranty. Refer to the user guide for detailed battery removal instructions and safety precautions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I wash my mop pads?
Mop pads can be machine-washed in warm water. Use only non-bleach liquid detergents. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach. For best results, hand-wash and air-dry.
Does SpinWave Cordless use steam or heat?
No. SpinWave Cordless uses tap water and BISSELL hard floor formula.
The discs on my SpinWave have stopped rotating or are spinning unevenly. What do I do?
With the machine switched OFF, remove the mop pads – underneath you will see a screw in the centre of each disc. Tighten this screw with a Philips head screwdriver, as they may be loose. Please note that one disc's screw will tighten clockwise and the other will tighten anticlockwise. If the issue persists, please contact BISSELL customer service.
I put an incompatible cleaning solution in my SpinWave and the tank is now leaking - can I purchase a new tank/tank cap?
