ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet

I had a different brand to this one previously (Hoover) which I loved. This looked similar so thought I would see how it went.

Initially I thought the BISSELL was going to be a nightmare to clean as the brush rollers don't clip out like the Hoover and the Hoover would get messy and full of hair and a pain to clean. I was surprised that the BISSELL doesn't get all clogged up at all and the head unit is so much easier to clean. Love how easy it is, clip it off and a quick rinse and done, the brushes don't clog up at all and there is a little clean at the sides and done.

The deep clean is amazing and does a great job getting rid of stains and dirt. The carpet dries super fast. I now definitely prefer this unit, will use more detergent but overall, I think a better product.

This is the second time I’ve had the machine but being a little older and wiser, I understood the important of regular cleaning and care of the unit to maximise performance.

If it is working great and suddenly the machine sound changes pitch (usually higher).. then you notice it’s leaving the carpet a little frothy or not drawing as much up. Stop. Empty your dirty water tank, remove any fluff you see in the head and give it a good rinse until you’re sure it’s clear and not blocked.

Boom. Back to peak performance.

Picture: I’d just picked up keys to my new rental. It had an odour not present at viewing. I was hopeful cleaning would turn it around. It was better value to buy a Bissell carpet cleaner than pay for professional cleaning (as in, not much more to have a machine for repeated use).

Deep cleaned most of the carpets and felt instantly better about the house. The carpet even looks more grey (I thought it was brown lol). I love checking the filthy water, as disgusting as it is - it’s quite therapeutic.

Anyway - great machine, be sure to properly read the instructions before starting. Cleaning in between and after every use is what will give you the best performance.
