How to Use

Step one

Vacuum the area thoroughly prior to using your carpet cleaner. Then pretreat the area with a BISSELL Pretreat Spray for at least 15 mins prior to using the machine. Use the machine in Steam Pretreat Mode to loosen any sticky or stuck-on messes prior to extraction.

Step two

Use the machine as instructed in the User Guide using warm water in the clean tank with approx. 60ml BISSELL Upright Carpet Cleaner Formula and 120ml BISSELL Oxy Boost.

Step three

Leave the area to air dry naturally, then repeat this process as needed to achieve the desired result. Multiple rounds may be needed on areas/items that have not been deep cleaned regularly before.

IMPORTANT

Only use warm (or cool) tap water in this machine. Thoroughly clean machine after use. Only use water & approved BISSELL Formula. Do not use any essential oils, laundry detergents, vinegar, or other additives as these may damage the machine and can void the guarantee.

We strongly recommend checking the care label or manufacturer's cleaning instructions for carpets, rugs, upholstery, and car interiors prior to using a domestic carpet cleaning machine. Not recommended for use on delicate pure wool, loop pile/berber, viscose, jute, silk, leather, or natural suede.

Is this vacuum good for pet hair?

Yes. The CleanView Max Allergen is designed with pets in mind. Its Tangle-Free Brush Roll handles fur and hair up to 8" long, and the TurboEraser® Pet Tool cleans stairs and upholstery.

Can I use it on hard floors as well as carpet?

Yes. Scatter-Free Technology captures kibble, crumbs and debris on hard floors, and the LED headlights help you spot dirt you might otherwise miss. Turn the height adjustment dial to the lowest practical setting for best performance.

Is it normal for the brush roll to keep spinning when the vacuum is upright?

Yes. The brush roll rotates whenever the machine is switched on. Never place fingers under the vacuum while it's running.

How do I clean above the floor or in hard-to-reach spaces?

Turn the machine off. Press the wand release button to remove the extension wand, or rotate the hose to remove it, then attach the tool you need. For best results, attach the TurboEraser® Pet Tool directly to the hose rather than the wand. Always place the vacuum on the floor with the handle upright when using tools..

How do I clean the filters?

Remove the dirt tank and lift the release latch. Wash the foam pre-motor filter in warm water and let it air dry completely, because a wet filter reduces suction. The pleated HEPA filter should not be washed. Rotate it out and tap off debris against the side of a bin.

How often should I replace the HEPA filter?

For optimal performance, replace it every 6 months.

My vacuum has lost suction. What should I check?

Unplug the vacuum first, then check for a clog. Rotate the hose and remove it from the extension wand, clearing any debris. Check the foot hose as well. If needed, remove the bottom cover and brush roll to check the air passageway. Also make sure the filters are clean and fully dry, as a wet filter reduces suction.
