Built for busy pet households, the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional combines powerful cleaning performance with the convenience of on-demand, at-home deep cleaning. Powered by the NEW TurboStrength Motor and the exclusive Pet Clean-Up System, this model delivers 40% more suction and a 50% quieter clean (compared to the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet 2066F model).
With BISSELL features designed specifically for pet hair, odours, stains and everyday accidents, the Pet Professional gives you the professional-grade results you’d expect from a rental machine, minus the cost, inconvenience or hygiene concerns of using equipment shared by others. In fact, it’s scientifically proven to remove up to 10x more allergens than vacuuming alone, helping you have pets and a clean home at the same time while fighting off indoor allergens.
Key Features of the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional
The ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional is packed with advanced features designed to deliver powerful, whole-home cleaning. Its upgraded TurboStrength Motor Technology provides 40% more suction while operating 50% quieter, giving you exceptional pulling power to remove embedded dirt, odours and tough pet stains from carpets, rugs and upholstery, all while remaining lightweight and easy to manoeuvre.
Then there is BISSELL’s Heatwave Technology, which helps maintain consistent water temperature throughout the clean, boosting stain removal performance, while the Dual DirtLifter PowerBrushes scrub deep into carpet fibres to lift pet hair, muddy pawprints, spills and set-in grime for noticeably brighter results. For stubborn, old or extra-tough messes, the stain pretreater delivers a targeted spray of solution directly onto the stain to help break it down before the main cleaning pass. Its slim, low-profile design allows you to reach under furniture and into tight corners, and the five included specialised tools make it easy to clean nurseries, sofas, home offices, car interiors, kitchens, dog beds, stair treads and awkward spaces. These include the 3” Tough Stain Brush, 3-in-1 Stair Tool, 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery Tool, Spraying Crevice Tool and Stain Trapper Tool.
With three cleaning modes to choose from, including Express Mode for quick refreshes and fast drying, Deep Clean Mode for embedded dirt and allergen control and Max Clean Mode for the most stubborn odours and old pet messes, you can tailor each clean to your needs. When used in Deep Clean Mode with BISSELL Wash & Remove Professional formula and Oxy Boost, it even outcleans leading rental machines, all without the hassle of collecting or returning a bulky unit. Scientifically tested, the Pet Professional also removes up to 10x more allergens on average than dry vacuuming alone, offering a deeper, fresher clean throughout that helps you win the fight against indoor allergens.
How to Use the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional Step-by-Step
1. Assemble
Before you begin, do not plug in the machine until assembly is complete and you’ve read all instructions. First, insert the aluminium upper handle into the top of the base until you hear a click. Then, align the carry handle with the slots on either side of the base (behind the power button and cleaning mode switch). Push down until it clicks into place. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to secure the screw (taped to the handle) into the carry handle.
Attach the power cord and wrap the cord around the carry handle and quick-release cord wrap. Once attached, you can prepare the rinse and storage tray by pressing Part B (the larger section) down onto Part A of the tray until the hooks lock underneath. Your tray is now ready for storing tools and the water rinse cup.
Make sure you do not attach the clean water tank until later and do not plug in your machine until you are familiar with all instructions.
2. Filling the Clean Water Tank
First, remove the clean water tank, which sits at the top of the machine. Lift it straight up to remove. You can then add water by unscrewing the cap and filling the tank with warm tap water (at a max of 60°C). Do not use boiling water, microwaved water, or heated water.
Next, add a formula. Check out our formula guide for a complete rundown of the different types of solutions you can use to elevate your cleaning. You can fill using either:
-
The Easy Fill line (for trial-size antibacterial formula), OR
-
The Formula Fill line (for standard BISSELL pet stain and odour antibacterial formula).
-
We also recommend adding Oxy Boost formula to both of these options, which is optional but recommended for a better clean. To do this, add 60 mL of Oxy Boost per 3.7 L of water (the Pet Professional’s tank holds 3.7 L).
You can now reinstall the tank by aligning the bottom of the clean water tank with the grooves at the base of the upper handle. Slide it down until it locks into place.
3. Preparing to Clean
Before you begin, vacuum the area thoroughly and pretreat stubborn stains with BISSELL Pretreat Spray for 15 minutes. Then test for colourfastness on an inconspicuous area. Keep the machine perpendicular to the rug edges to avoid damage, and avoid repeated passes in one spot on Berber carpets.
Next, you can power the machine by pressing the power button. Then recline the machine by pressing the recline pedal with your foot.
4. Choosing Your Cleaning Mode
You have a few cleaning modes to choose from, depending on what you're cleaning.

Maintenance & Care
Regular maintenance helps keep your ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional performing at its best. Before you begin any care or troubleshooting, always switch the machine OFF and disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet. So, here’s how to keep your ProHeat Pet Professional running at peak performance:
Emptying the Dirty Water Tank
Press the release button on top of the tank, pull it out using the front handle and remove the lid. Detach the strainer, empty debris into the bin, then pour the dirty water into a suitable drain. Rinse the tank thoroughly and reattach the parts.
Using the Clean Out Cycle
Use the clean-out cycle after each deep clean to flush internal pathways. Empty the dirty tank first and keep the filter and strainer dry. Fill the clean tank to the clean-out fill line, place the machine on the tray, plug it in and press the clean-out cycle button when it lights up. Only run the cycle once or twice per session.
After-Cleaning Care
Remove the brush rolls and place them on the tray to dry. Wipe down the machine exterior with a soft cloth. Empty and rinse the dirty tank and strainer, clean the filter with warm soapy water and let all parts dry for 24 hours. Once everything is dry, reinstall the brush rolls, filter, strainer and tank lid. Insert the tank bottom-first and pivot it back until it clicks securely into place.
Replacing Belts & Brush Rolls
To complete this process, you’ll need a Phillips-head screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver. Start by unplugging the machine and removing both tanks. Take off the nozzle and brush roll cover, press the recline pedal, and gently lay the machine on its back.
Start by removing the belt access door. Using a flathead screwdriver, press into the slot at the back of the belt access door, then repeat for the front slot. Lift the door away to remove it. You can then remove the wheel and endcap and turn the machine onto its side and use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw beneath the wheel. Slide the wheel downward to take it off. Lay the machine on its back again and remove the screw from the Brush Roll endcap.
Time to remove the belts and brush rolls. For the gear belt, gently lift and remove it if it’s broken. If the flat belt needs replacing, ensure the gear belt is removed first. If you’re replacing the brush rolls, lift them off the metal posts and make sure the posts go fully through the ends of the rolls. The bristles should form a V-pattern, matching the original orientation and the washers at each end should be kept safe.
Installing New Brush Rolls
Place the new brush rolls onto the metal posts and align the belt on the opposite end. Hold one roll and twist it – if the other roll turns with it, they’re aligned correctly. Confirm all washers are still in place.
Installing the New Flat Belt
Turn the machine on its side again and feed the flat belt through the opening, wrapping it around the red pulley. Keep it in place as you return the machine to its back. Then use your thumb to stretch the belt over the metal axle.
Once either or both are installed, reattach the brush roll endcap using the removed screw. Slide the wheel back into position and tighten the screw to secure it. Reattach covers by snapping the belt access door back into place. Reinstall the brush roll cover by pressing straight down until both buttons click. Align the nozzle from the lower edge and rotate it upward until it locks into place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which BISSELL formulas do I use in my machine?
The ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional is compatible with any BISSELL formula labelled for use with full-size upright carpet cleaners.
What is the BISSELL Pretreat Spray used for?
Pretreating is the first step in deep cleaning your carpets or fabric upholstery. For best results, particularly on set-in stains, use the pretreatment spray at least 15 minutes prior to using the machine. Pretreating beforehand loosens and mobilises embedded dirt, stains, and odours, allowing for optimal cleaning results.
Can I use BISSELL formulas labelled for use in portable carpet washers in my full-size upright carpet washer?
Yes. The low-foaming formulas designed for use in portable carpet washers can also be used in full-size upright machines. Formulas labelled for use in full-size upright carpet washers should not be used in portable machines.
How much formula should I put in my full-size upright BISSELL carpet washer?
The clean water tank of your machine has guidelines to follow for the water-to-formula ratios. As a general rule, it is approximately 60ml (1 cap) of formula and 120ml (2 caps) of Oxy Boost per full tank of warm tap water.
What types of carpet can the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional be used on?
The ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional is suitable for use on most types of carpet and fabric upholstery. However, we strongly recommend checking the care instructions of your carpet/upholstery first to ensure compatibility, and performing a test patch in a discreet area. We do not recommend using our full-size upright carpet and upholstery washers on loop-pile/berber carpet, pure wool, silk, jute, viscose, leather, natural suede, or other materials sensitive to water and agitation.
Oxy Boost - do I need to use it?
We recommend adding Oxy Boost to your tank with your formula for best results on old stains, stubborn messes, and lighter-coloured fabrics or carpets.
Can I use the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional on hard floors?
No. The ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Professional is designed for use on carpets, rugs, and fabric upholstery only. For hard floor cleaning, look into our CrossWave or steam mop range.
Is it normal for the brushes in the floorhead to keep spinning while using the upholstery attachment?
Yes. The brushes are raised when the machine is parked upright and will continue to spin.
