Built for busy homes, homes with pets and the everyday mess life brings, the BISSELL CrossWave EdgeFind™ is an all-in-one multi-surface cleaner that powerfully finds and captures messes all the way to the edge. As part of the renowned CrossWave range, it vacuums and mops at the same time, tackling wet and dry messes together, while making hidden dirt and pet hair easier to see and remove.
As part of the new collection of BISSELL products in 2026, the CrossWave EdgeFind™ is engineered with ZeroGap™ Technology for edge-to-edge cleaning and FurFinder™ Headlights with high and low beams. It delivers visible, confidence-building results where mess is most likely to collect. Combined with Two-Tank Technology and a built-in Self-Cleaning Mode, it offers a more hygienic, low-effort way to keep floors under control.
Here at BISSELL, we care about finding ways to make your home a cleaner place, and we know busy households want to know that their 2-in-1 cleaner can genuinely replace separate tools. So, in this guide, we’ll show how CrossWave EdgeFind™ works, how to use it and why it’s designed to deliver fast, easy-to-see cleaning results, from edge to edge.
Key Features of the CrossWave EdgeFind™
The CrossWave EdgeFind™ combines vacuuming and mopping in a single step, capturing dry dirt, crumbs, and pet hair while simultaneously washing floors. This one-pass approach saves time and makes everyday cleaning simpler, especially in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, hallways, and pet zones. It's clear wet-and-dry pickup allows you to see messes being effectively removed, rather than just pushed around.
Alongside this, edge-to-edge cleaning is made effortless thanks to ZeroGap™ Technology, which eliminates gaps along walls, skirting boards, and cabinets, ensuring no dirt or dust is left behind. Then, make the invisible visible with FurFinder™ Headlights, which further enhances visibility, illuminating hidden pet hair, dander and debris so you can confidently remove messes that might otherwise go unnoticed.
For a more hygienic clean, Two-Tank Technology from BISSELL, keeps fresh water and cleaning solution separate from dirty water, ensuring every pass uses clean solution. Maintenance is also simple: the Self-Cleaning Mode flushes dirt, hair and debris from the brush roll and internal system, while tangle-reducing design features minimise hair build-up between cleans. Combined with corded power and a 7.62m cord for consistent reach, the CrossWave EdgeFind™ delivers performance, convenience and a thorough clean across your home.
How to Use the CrossWave EdgeFind™ Step-by-Step
Step 1: Assemble & Prepare
Before first use, firmly install the handle into the body of the machine until it clicks into place. Ensure the clean water tank is correctly installed in the back of the machine and wrap the power cord using the Quick Release Cord Wrap for easy setup.
Clear larger debris and loose objects from the floor where possible. For best results, lightly clear heavily soiled areas before cleaning.
Step 2: Fill the Clean Water Tank
Remove the clean water tank from the back of the machine and unscrew the cap. Fill the tank with warm tap water (up to 60°C) to the water fill line (21 fl. oz.), then add BISSELL cleaning formula to the formula line (3 fl. oz.), following the formula instructions. Secure the cap and slide the tank back into place until it clicks.
Only use formulas developed by BISSELL.
Step 3: Power On & Select Cleaning Mode
Plug the machine into a properly grounded power outlet and press the power button to turn it on. The CrossWave EdgeFind™ will start in Hard Floor Mode by default.
Use the Multi-Surface button to toggle between:
-
Hard Floor Mode – for sealed hard floors and everyday wet and dry messes
-
Area Rug Mode – for refreshing low-pile rugs and lifting dry debris like crumbs, dirt and hair
Step 4: Start Cleaning
Recline the handle to activate suction, the rotating brush roll and the automatic cleaning solution spray. The cleaning solution is dispensed automatically while the machine is reclined and stops when the handle is returned to the upright position.
For best results:
-
Move the machine forward to initially wet the floor
-
Allow up to 15 seconds for the brush roll to fully wet
-
Use steady forward and backward strokes for consistent cleaning performance
-
Position the ZeroGap™ Technology edge-cleaning side against walls, skirting boards and cabinets to remove debris right up to the edge
FurFinder™ Headlights illuminate hidden dirt, pet hair and debris as you clean, making messes easier to see and remove.
Step 5: Maximise Extraction & Drying
Continue with slow backward passes to extract excess water and debris. Floors may remain visibly damp for several minutes after cleaning, which is normal.
Monitor the dirty water tank during use. When it reaches the ‘MAX’ line, the float will engage, suction will reduce and the sound of the machine will change, indicating it’s time to empty the tank.
Using Hard Floor Sanitise Formula
When using BISSELL Hard Floor Sanitise formula, follow the directions on the formula label. After removing visible soil, allow the floor to remain visibly wet with the solution for five minutes, which may require additional passes. Then make forward and backward passes to extract the solution and allow floors to air dry.

Maintenance & Care
Routine maintenance helps keep the CrossWave EdgeFind™ delivering strong suction, hygienic cleaning and reliable edge-to-edge performance. With simple daily care and a built-in clean-out cycle, upkeep is easy to manage between cleans.
Emptying the Dirty Water Tank
Empty the dirty water tank after each use or whenever it reaches the ‘MAX’ line.
Press the dirty water tank release button while holding the tank handle, then pull the tank out of the machine.
To remove the lid, hold the top of the tank near the sides of the filter and lift upward.
Pull the strainer tab up and out of the tank to separate debris from the dirty water, then dispose of the debris. Pour the dirty water into a sink or suitable wastewater receptacle and thoroughly rinse the tank.
Reassemble the dirty water tank by placing the strainer back into the tank and securing the lid. Insert the bottom of the tank into the machine first, then tilt it toward the machine until it clicks into place.
Using the Self-Cleaning Mode
The Self-Cleaning Mode flushes dirt, hair and debris from the brush roll and internal system and should be used after each cleaning session for confident storage.
Before starting, ensure the dirty water tank is empty and the filter remains dry. Check that the clean water tank is filled to the Clean-Out Cycle line, topping up with water if needed. Plug in the machine and place it onto the storage tray. Press the Clean-Out Cycle button to begin. The cycle runs for approximately 40 seconds.
Once complete, empty the dirty water tank again. For best results, remove the brush roll and place it in the brush roll holder on the dock to air dry.
Brush Roll Care & Replacement
Regular brush roll care helps maintain optimal cleaning results and reduces hair build-up. Press the brush roll window release and pull the window toward you to remove it. Pull the brush roll tab to lift the brush roll out and place it in the brush roll holder on the dock to air dry.
To reinstall, insert the right side of the brush roll first, then rotate it downward until the tab on the left side locks into place. Reattach the window by aligning the tabs on the bottom edges of the foot and rotating it toward the machine until it clicks.
After-Cleaning Care & Storage
After cleaning, wrap the power cord around the cord wrap and store the machine indoors in a dry location where it is unlikely to be damaged.
For deeper care:
-
Remove the brush roll window and brush roll and allow the brush roll to air dry for 24 hours before reinstalling
-
Remove the machine from the storage tray and wipe away any excess water or dirt
-
Empty the dirty water tank
-
Remove the filter from the tank lid, open the screen and clear debris
-
Wash the filter in warm water and allow it to dry completely after each use (a wet filter will reduce suction performance)
-
Rinse the tank lid and float to remove residue and ensure the float moves freely
-
Allow all components to air dry fully before reassembling
Reassemble the dirty water tank by placing the strainer back into the tank, inserting the filter into the lid and securing the lid. Insert the bottom of the tank first, then tilt it toward the machine until it clicks into place.
Filters and brush rolls should be replaced approximately every three months, depending on usage.
