Retail Sales Assistant

The Retail Sales Assistant will be responsible for all retail sales generation and support activities including product display, stock management, product information and customer management. This will include delivering great customer service, influencing demonstration and sales abilities and order processing.

1. Accustomed to delivering on sales goals displaying initiative to maximise results
2. Provide prompt and courteous attention to customers including assisting customers to find the correct product for their requirements
3. Manage stock and ensure visual merchandising is maintained in accordance to brand standards.
4. Ongoing product knowledge development and awareness of promotional activity including constructive feedback on initiatives
5. Answering emails and calls to communicate with our valued customers
6. Processing of online orders as required
7. Support of Consumer Care function as required
8. Addressing and resolving customers complaints in a professional manner
9. Processing customer payments using the shop's Point of Sale (POS) system
10. May be required to perform other duties as assigned

• Experience level: 1+ year experience in customer service and/or sales in a retail store environment

• Self-motivated, excellent communicator with exceptional customer service skills
• Proactive with good problem-solving skills
• Positive and enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude
• An eye for detail including excellent retail housekeeping plus display merchandising skills
• Computer literate with email, Word and Excel including familiarity with retail sales systems
• Physically fit and able to lift product and boxes of up to 20kg
• Floor care knowledge desirable but not essential
